i was in a french restaurant today and of course they played accordian music because that is the only music ever created and listened to by french people in their entire history. in french restaurants its ALWAYS accordian music, in spanish the obligatory flamenca backround music, in indian restaurants bollywood. this made me wonder what they play in english restaurants abroad. status quo?

possibly bbc world service, or morris dancing, or folk music, or just the television or just pop with english lyrics. actually have you ever seen an english restaurant abroad?
